As a Data Engineer (m/f/d) in the "Analytics & AI" team, you will create the necessary data foundation to make Uhlmann successful with data-driven solutions. Your goal is to further develop and maintain a robust, scalable and efficient data infrastructure. Through your work, you will make a significant contribution to the use of Analytics & AI at Uhlmann and thus to the competitiveness of our company.

Unbox your job - your tasks

  • Creating the further prerequisites for data-driven solutions, in particular collaboration in the creation of the data strategy to improve data availability and quality
  • Collecting, processing and cleansing data from a wide variety of sources as a basis for data analysis and thus for solving use cases
  • Design, implementation, set-up, testing and maintenance of scalable data management systems (especially data warehouse) and associated ETL processes in collaboration with IT
  • Measuring and monitoring data quality and developing measures to improve it
  • Internal and external collaboration to determine the requirements of a scalable data architecture and its implementation together with IT

Unbox your assets - your profil

  • Degree in computer science or a related field
  • Proven experience as a data engineer, in data processing and modelling as well as handling multimodal data
  • Deep understanding of ETL processes and data architecture principles
  • Good knowledge of Python or similar languages, database technologies and processing
  • Knowledge of setting up services and data structures as well as deployment in cloud platforms
  • Ability to analyse complex data problems and develop efficient solutions and communicate these to both technical and non-technical colleagues
  • Team-orientation and experience with agile working and development methods
  • Very good German or English language skills
  • High quality awareness, reliability and initiative
